When Nissan introduced the LEAF for the 2011 model year, it was the first real electric vehicle—as in not a hybrid—that the average consumer could actually afford. In the decade since, Nissan has continued to refine the technologies and expand the feature all while maintaining that same affordability. Now in its second generation, the LEAF boasts advanced driver assistance technologies and as much as 226 miles of range. Two years out from a radical redesign, the 2021 Nissan LEAF arrives with only minor updates, including expansion and refinement of the standard equipment at all three trim levels: S, SV and SL.

The 2021 Nissan LEAF in Clearwater is a small electric hatchback with a 106.3-inch wheelbase and that measures 176.4 inches in overall length. The minimum ground clearance is 6.3 inches, and the height and width without mirrors are 61.4 and 70.5 inches, respectively. Nissan offers a wide range of colors for the LEAF, including Glacier White and Super Black. There are additional options with the upper trims, including tint coats, such as Scarlet Ember and Sunset Drift, and a two-tone option that pairs Super Black with Pearl White. The S trim features 16-inch steel wheels with full wheel covers, automatic halogen headlamps, LED taillamps, power side mirrors and a rear spoiler.
