The Golf GTI comes with a potent turbocharged and intercooled 2.0L 4-cylinder that produces 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and is offered with a choice of either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission.
The Golf 1.4T model is offered only in the TSI trim for 2021. Standard equipment on the Golf TSI includes a power tilting panoramic sunroof, rain sensing wipers, heated side mirrors, automatic headlights, LED brake lights and 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the TSI gets a leatherette wrapped steering wheel along with heated, power reclining front seats, a rearview camera, Bluetooth audio streaming, keyless entry and a 6.5-inch infotainment screen.
